1. Information we collect

When you use Zoonk, we may collect:

• Account data, such as email, name, username, profile picture, country, and language.
• Age or date-of-birth information if needed for age checks, parental authorization, or legal compliance.
• Payment and subscription data through Stripe, App Store, Play Store, or another payment provider.
• Learning data, such as courses viewed or created, lessons completed, answers, progress, time spent, feedback, and preferences.
• User-generated content, such as prompts, uploaded content, pages, comments, answers, and support messages.
• Technical data, such as IP address, device information, browser, operating system, cookies, app-access logs, security events, and approximate location inferred from technical data.

2. How we use this information

We use personal data for the following purposes and legal bases:

• To create accounts, authenticate users, operate Zoonk, store progress, and provide paid plans or purchases, based on the contract with you.
• To personalize your learning experience, recommend content, and remember preferences, based on the contract with you and our legitimate interests.
• To generate educational content with AI, evaluate quality and safety, improve Zoonk's AI features, and train or fine-tune systems that Zoonk operates or configures, based on the contract with you, our legitimate interests, and consent where required.
• To process payments, prevent fraud, handle support, and manage refunds or cancellations, based on the contract with you, legal obligations, and our legitimate interests.
• To measure usage, improve the product, debug errors, and keep the platform secure, based on our legitimate interests and consent where required.
• To comply with tax, accounting, consumer, data-protection, internet, court, regulatory, and other legal obligations.

3. AI and user-generated content

• Zoonk uses AI systems to generate courses, lessons, images, audio, explanations, exercises, suggestions, and feedback.
• We may process your prompts, uploaded content, answers, learning activity, feedback, and generated content to provide these AI features and to improve, evaluate, test, train, or fine-tune Zoonk's AI systems.
• We try to avoid sending direct account identifiers to AI providers when they are not needed, but user prompts and uploads may contain personal data if you include it.
• Do not include sensitive personal data about yourself or others unless it is strictly necessary for your learning use and you have the right to share it.
• AI outputs and related inputs may be reviewed by automated systems or authorized people for safety, abuse prevention, debugging, and quality control.

4. Sharing data

We share data only as needed to operate, protect, and improve Zoonk:

• Hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, security, and error-monitoring providers.
• Vercel Analytics for product analytics.
• Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether ads lead to subscriptions. Google may use cookies or similar technologies for this measurement.
• AI infrastructure and model providers such as Vercel, OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, and Anthropic when needed to provide or improve AI features.
• Payment providers such as Stripe, Apple, and Google for billing, subscription management, refunds, fraud prevention, and tax or accounting records.
• Authorities, courts, regulators, or other parties when required by law, legal process, security, fraud prevention, or protection of rights.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

5. Your LGPD rights

Subject to the limits and procedures in the LGPD, you may request:

• Confirmation that we process your personal data.
• Access to your personal data.
• Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
• Anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary, excessive, or unlawfully processed data.
• Portability where available under ANPD rules.
• Information about public and private entities with which we shared data.
• Information about the consequences of refusing consent when consent is requested.
• Revocation of consent and deletion of data processed based on consent, except where retention is allowed by law.
• Review of decisions made solely by automated processing that affect your interests, where applicable.

6. Account deletion and retention

• You can request account deletion by emailing hello@zoonk.com.
• When your account is deleted, you will lose access to it.
• We delete or anonymize personal data when we no longer need it.
• Some information may be kept for a limited time when required for legal, billing, tax, consumer, fraud prevention, security, abuse prevention, backup, dispute resolution, or regulatory purposes.
• We may keep app-access logs and related technical records for the periods required by the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet and other applicable laws.
• Content or learning records may be removed from normal product surfaces before every related internal record is erased.
• We may keep historical learning records or aggregated analytics when they no longer directly identify you.

7. Minors

• Zoonk is for users 13 and older.
• Users under the age of majority may use Zoonk only with authorization and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
• We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.
• Accounts created by users under 13 will be deleted and blocked when discovered.
• We process personal data of minors according to their best interests and may request confirmation of guardian authorization when needed.
• Parents or legal guardians can contact hello@zoonk.com to review, correct, or request deletion of a minor's data.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside Brazil. When this happens, we use appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational measures to protect the data according to applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. If we make important changes, we'll notify you in-app, by email, or on our website.
